Cynthia is a private practitioner, lecturer, teacher, consultant, and nationally trained Imago Couples Workshop Presenter. As a psychotherapist for over 32 years, she has yet to find an approach that has the greatest potential for deepening the intimacy and connection in a couple’s relationship. Cynthia teaches couples how to live in a “conscious” relationship, providing communication skills and a repair model that promotes softening and healing to what has become a place of impasse and rupture. When couples are able to relax the defensive reactivity and replace it with curiosity, empathic listening, and compassion, the partner becomes a person to whom we attach a feeling of “safety.” It is only through safety that we can grow and transform our relationships into mature love.
